John HUBBARD b. 1788 son of John HUBBARD and Margaret KNOWLAND
Probably born in Nottingham.
He and Samuel were baptised on the same day at St Mary de Castro in Leicester. John was fifteen and Samuel eleven and a half.
John never married. He is named as a 'supervisor of exise.' Probably checking alchoholic beverages for quality and provenance.
He outlived his brother Samuel as he is mentioned assisting his sister in law Sarah Hubbard (née Waddington) in a legal document after Samuel's death.
In the Leicester record office there is a copy of this legal document showing Sarah was the joint owner and proprietor with Charles and Charlotte Smith, (Charles was a victualler) and John Hubbard (supervisor of exise) of about twelve dwelling houses and properties.
